5 ways to make the most of being back at school
It’s that time of year again! September has rolled around and you’re getting back into the swing of things at school. It’s back to the teachers, homework and that familiar school uniform.
We know back to school isn’t exactly your favourite time, but there are upsides to getting back into the classroom – besides getting to hang out with your friends, of course.
The next few months are the perfect time to give some thought to your dream career. Want to be a scientist, doctor or graphic designer? How about a carpenter, vet or fashion buyer? We have the tips to get you there.

1. Join the politics club
Use that back-to-term energy and get stuck in to a brand new club – like the politics group or debate team. By discussing your arguments and convincing others of your point of view, you’ll develop excellent communication skills (one of the most in-demand skills amongst employers). You’ll also be able to hone your presentation abilities.

2. Start a language conversation club
Why not take the words and phrases you’ve learned in Spanish, German or French

3. Take up a sport
Whether it’s football, hockey, basketball or any other sport you can think of – joining a sports team at school will really develop your ability to work with others. If you’re more of a lone wolf and prefer individual sports like swimming or running, these will still be really useful for your skills development. It’ll demonstrate strong leadership qualities.

4. Campaign for a cause you believe in

5. Join a music club
