As there are only solicitor apprenticeships, would you be able to convert from a solicitor to a barrister?

With most roles, there is some ability to convert, particularly as a solicitor apprenticeship includes completing a law degree. That said, the route to becoming a barrister is separate. Even with a law degree, you would still need to sit the Bar in order to qualify as a barrister as well as securing a [link removed];So while the apprenticeship gives you a strong legal foundation, moving from solicitor to barrister isn’t a straightforward conversion and would require a separate qualification process.
