Specsavers Apprenticeships
What sets our people apart is our curiosity and passion for our work. Choose a Specsavers apprenticeship and you’ll be part of a team who care deeply about eyecare and hearcare, and who strive to be the best they can be.
Our apprenticeships offer a great stepping stone into our business and a way to upskill on the job. We have apprenticeships in our stores, call centres and labs, and they’re open to anyone who doesn’t have experience already. By the end of the apprenticeship, you’ll be fully qualified in a role that you can excel at. We’ll help you to progress from day one, with support and guidance in place to help you decide where you want to go next.
Specsavers offers flexible apprenticeships available in stores, call centres, and labs, across various departments such as:
- Optical Assistant
- Hearing Aid Dispenser
- Customer Service
- Spectacle Technician
These programmes are ideal for individuals with little or no experience, providing the chance to earn while learning.
Apprenticeships typically last 15–18 months and combine on-the-job training with support from external assessors. Participants will benefit from:
- A nationally recognised qualification upon completion
- Enjoy a supportive learning environment
- Access to career development opportunities, including potential store ownership
- Competitive pay, paid holidays, and clear pathways for progression into permanent roles or further training.

It’s identifying problems with health – think high blood pressure and diabetes. It’s about changing and saving lives. Interested? If you are, you should see what we have on offer through our Bright Stars university scholarship.
