About our Apprenticeships

Our apprenticeships come in three sizes, so there’s probably something for you whatever your educational level. We offer everything from a 15 month, Level 2 apprenticeship in customer service to four year Level 6 degree apprenticeship in technology. We even offer some level 7 programmes in finance. The sky is really the limit! All our apprenticeships are nationally recognised and some include professional qualifications.

• Level 2 & Level 3 - You'll work towards a Level 2 or Level 3 Apprenticeship framework or standard through work-based learning whilst also achieving functional skills, some apprenticeships are supported by a competence and knowledge based qualifications
• Level 4 & Level 5 Apprenticeship - You'll work towards Level 4 or Level 5 Apprenticeship through work-based learning which is consolidated by formal learning with a training provider.
• Level 6 & Level 7 Apprenticeship - You'll work towards Level 6 or Level 7 Apprenticeship through formal learning delivered through formal learning with a training provider, this may include a formal degree qualification issued by a university.

You’ll need to be 16 or over to start a BT apprenticeship.

Our apprenticeship starting salary is £16,422.

You can join us straight from school or college through the awesome our apprenticeship scheme. And you don’t need to be a coding guru to jump on board. We recruit for apprentices to do pretty much everything: we’re looking for people to maintain our exchanges, help our customers, and become sales specialists….and that’s just for starters. You name it – the chances are there’s an apprenticeship for it. Check out our website for all of our opportunities. Love the sound of BT but off to uni? There’s no need to miss out – and you don't need to wait till you graduate either.

We also offer summer and industrial placements, so you can prepare for you can get some great experience in the world of work with us, in the best way for you and your studies:

• 12 weeks during the summer holiday.
• An 11-month placement. This is for you if your uni lets you take a one-year break from your studies to gain work experience, or includes an "industrial placement" as part of the course.

To be eligible to do an internship or summer placement with us, you’ll need: 

• To be in your penultimate year of university
• On track to achieve a 2.1
• Some of our roles do ask that you’re studying for a STEM degree.
