Get Involved: Work Experience Week 2014

Have you ever been scared off by the phrase “work experience”?

No need to worry, Work Experience Week is here to fix that. Created by the organisation Fair Train, Work Experience Week aims to get employers and young people talking about the benefits of good quality work experience.

From the 13th - 17th of October 2014, employers all around the UK will be pledging to provide the kind of work experience that equips young people with the necessary skills and experience to further their careers. The idea is that work experience should be about helping you gain skills instead of wasting hours on unrelated errands (unless that’s what you want to do).

It will be a great time to find out about work experience placements for school students as well as to learn more about how these placements should work. Better yet, you can help get employers excited about providing the right kind of work experience for students like yourself!
