New apprenticeships announced in Sheffield
Sheffield Council is looking to recruit 27 ambitious new apprentices who can go on to become future leaders.
Areas include council housing, legal and customer services. The council, which has created an extra 100 apprenticeships in the city every year since 2011, will be advertising later this month.
Aamir Khan, 21, is an apprentice in the housing department. He says: “I felt it was a fantastic opportunity and could see myself developing successfully through the scheme.
“In the future I hope to take in all the skills, qualifications and experience I have gained and apply for a full time role with the council.”
Apprentices enjoy the same benefits as all other council employees, including flexible working, training and development and good working conditions.
