Alongside your warehouse training, you’ll work towards achieving a Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative qualification (equivalent to 5 GCSE passes) and complete Functional Skills qualifications in English and Maths too, if you don’t have GCSE passes in these subjects already – amazing!

You’ll learn about…

  • The tools, equipment, machinery and delivery systems used for the handling of products
  • Loading procedures for products including transport weight limits and loading distribution principles
  • How to select, prepare, and use packaging materials to reduce waste
  • Information technology and digital systems – such as digital toolsets and management information systems
  • How to conduct a risk assessment and apply safe working practices

Plus so much more!

  • Competitive hourly pay rate: £10.96

  • Training & Support: You’ll have monthly meetings with your allocated learning coach during work time – sessions are usually a mix of face-to-face and online

What you'll need...

To apply, you’ll need to meet the UK government’s eligibility criteria before your apprenticeship starts.

  • Must be aged 16+ years old
  • Must have been a UK/EU/EAA resident for the past 3+ years
  • You must not be an overseas national or subject to employment restrictions
  • Must have left full-time education
  • Must not have completed a similar qualification at the same level or above

Application Process

  • Online application: This is your chance to shine! Make sure you answer all the questions and provide as much information as possible. Once you’ve submitted your application, our recruitment team will review your answers. If you’re successful at this stage, you’ll progress to the next stage of the process.
  • Individual or group assessment: You’ll complete an assessment or interview at your local Reginal Dustribution Centre.  You’ll be asked some questions about yourself and the role you’re applying for – some of which might be based on a scenario. If you’re successful at this stage, you’ll progress to the final stage of the process.
  • Aldi store experience: Following a successful interview, you’ll be invited to spend some time in the warehouse so you can see first-hand the types of tasks you’d be expected to complete. Feel free to ask any questions you might have as we want to make sure the role is the right fit for you and us. If everything goes well, you’ll be offered a job as an apprentice!
