Pay depends on the type of job you do. Apprentices can earn around £[link removed] per year, while graduates can earn in excess of £25K. It all depends on the disciplines, job level, etc

My current role is all about defining the requirements for the future signalling systems. what would your advice be to someone who wants to go further in this career?

I would say, firstly, find a job that you enjoy. And develop your skills by getting involved in different roles and projects, for a more holistic view of the area you work in.

A bit about myself… I studied Telecommunications Engineering in my native Spain before moving to England. I continued my studies in England completing an MSc in Computing Science. I joined a big telecoms company after that, and a couple of years later I joined Network Rail.
