I can’t tell you whether or not there is work experience available in this field, but it sounds like you have some idea of what you’d like to do in your career, which puts you in a good position because you have somewhere to begin your search. You can Google employers in the right field in your local area and start phoning them to ask if they’ll take you on for your placement – often they’ll be happy to even if they don’t have a formal scheme. Also think about what experience you’d like to gain on your placement, and tell them this before you start, so you don’t just end up making the coffee!
