I am a year 12 student looking into apprenticeships, and I am wondering how heavy the toll is on your mental health as someone with an apprenticeship, with procuring CVs, going through interviews, and actually experiencing an apprenticeship
Hi,Thank you for your question! If I'm being honest, I personally believe it is all about how you manage your time. For example, during the time you apply for your apprenticeships, do not apply to too many as this can be quite stressful for you and it is important you pace yourself. I created my CV in Year 12 and simply improved and updated in Year 13. I used Year 12 to build the foundations for my CV, skills and experiences so that I was less stressed out. In addition to this, it is important to plan and manage your time appropriately. Plan out when you will be writing applications, revising for exams or doing school work as well as preparing for interviews etc. Lastly, have confidence in yourself and reaffirm yourself so that you have a positive mindset in all the work you [link removed] regards to the actual experience of an apprenticeship, it is really nice and does not feel stressful. There are phases in the year when things can get stressful with workload and study commitments but it is not more than I can bear and I always communicate any mental health issues with my manager. Be aware of the support network you have around you so that you can seek help when needed.
