Hi, great [link removed] almost all cases, it will be as easy, if not easier, to land a job in biological research with a degree apprenticeship under your belt vs just a degree. If you're asking about non-degree apprenticeships, then it's a different [link removed] experience you'll have gained during your 3-4 years of an apprenticeship are extremely valuable and rare for someone of the age of 18-24 or so. However, a lot of roles within biological research are very theory-heavy, and so companies may only look for applications from those with degrees, regardless of whether you can say you have experience in that [link removed] the question is a bit hard to answer, it really depends on the company and type of role you're applying for. I think for junior roles, you wouldn't have a problem landing a job with no degree, because the theory can be taught and you've already had experience. Certainly though in this industry you will need a degree at some point in your life - it's just a question of sooner or [link removed] companies sometimes do non-degree apprenticeships, and I imagine that upon completion, that company would happily employ you and up-skill you, removing the need for a degree at that point in time. Therefore there are still many reasons to pursue a non-degree [link removed] we're talking about degree apprenticeships, it goes without saying that they are better for landing roles than just a degree, because experience and familiarity with certain types of equipment in different environments simply cannot be taught in a lecture hall.
