However, it is quite useful for you to gain an insight into engineering. It may also allow you to understand or show to companies why you are passionate about engineering and perhaps network or build connections with engineers or the team at the company. Hi, I agree with Ishraq. It’s not necessary but quite useful especially if you are deciding what kind of engineering you want to study as there are a lot to choose from. It could be helpful to ask your questions one on one to engineers in the actual field. Abi
