What are some of the most common misconceptions about degree apprenticeships and how does this impact students making the decision between apprenticeships and university degrees? Many thanks in advance!

One of the biggest misconceptions about degree apprenticeships is that they are ‘less academic’ or only for those who didn’t do well in school, when in reality, they require strong qualifications and rigorous study alongside work. Many also assume they limit career prospects or lead to lower earnings, but apprentices gain industry experience, earn a salary, and graduate debt-free—often giving them a head start over traditional graduates. The idea that you ‘miss out’ on university life can also be misleading, but this can be down to personal preferences. I personally found that I didn't miss out on the social aspect.
