Would you say doing an apprenticeship is more beneficial than going to university?

When going into accountancy, would you say it’s better to go to university or do an apprenticeship?

Everyone’s experiences are different. However, from my personal experience I think an apprenticeship is more beneficial as you are being exposed to actual accounting work whilst studying. This equips you with the relevant experience to complete your role alongside becoming qualified. Therefore at the end of the apprenticeship you would be in a better position than your peers at university as you are both qualified and have experience which is highly valued. You also get paid and are potentially guaranteed a job once qualified (depending on firm)
