How do you balance the work from your employer with the work from your degree? Do you have any tips for dealing with the workload?

I have heard some stories of people finding it quite hard to adjust to the new workload after leaving school.

Hi Alex,
I always ensure to utilise my weekly study day effectively so that after my lectures I am completing university assignments and preparing for my exams. Exams and assignments are usually spread evenly through the year so if you are doing your university work little and often you shouldn’t feel overwhelmed. My degree even incorporates the same content for university and professional exams, so we don’t need to revise two different textbooks!
I always communicate with my manager if I feel overwhelmed with university work or have an exam coming up. Your manager wants to see you succeed in your apprenticeship and may allow you time in the day to study or revise!
