Barriers to school engagement

Hi,

I would like to hear from employers as to the barriers they face that may prevent them from working with schools. I understand difficulties with e.g. staffing, distance, time out of the working day but is there anything schools can do to improve experiences of employer engagement?

Hi John - We have tried to increase engagement with schools by hosting in-house insights afternoons every 3-4 months which students, parents and careers advisors are all invited to attend. I'm unable to visit all of the schools, however I do try and send my Apprentices out to schools if they have specific events. However my preference is for the students to come to us and experience the office. Our next event is 30th May - they can register and find out more at [Link removed]
