Hi Eddy, suggest you keep an eye on the Careers pages of the Freight Train company websites to see if they are recruiting trainee drivers. Currently Freightliner is only recruiting qualified drivers but the situation could change so worth keeping a look out.

MTR Crossrail will be recruiting Trainee Train Drivers from January 2018 in readiness for Elizabeth Line services which commence in December 2018. Applicants who successfully complete all stages of our recruitment process will join our 9-12 month Driver Training Programme which is the start of the journey towards becoming a MTR Crossrail Qualified Train Driver.
