Hi Ruby, great question😊I'd say it depends on your personality. I personally prefer a "balance" where I'm allowed to go in-person sporadically but work largely remote, such as 1/2 days in office per [link removed] found that when I was working fully remote I'd get bored or feel a bit isolated, just being in silence the whole day looking at my screen. I feel like my personality requires me to have real life interaction so that makes sense, and I feel like you can build relationships more in person by going for coffee/lunch with colleagues or just seeing their body language because video/calls can hide those elements of human connection. It's also super useful to be able to quickly go up to someone and ask for help because a team's message/email can get lost in a busy person's notification back [link removed] work does save a lot of commute/food costs, so that's nice, but you have "extra" electricity bills by cooking and powering your set up at home, so there's a trade off too there. Key is join a company that gives you flexibility and you can figure it out for yourself, because even if they say you're only supposed to be in once/week, you can always go in more, but the other way round it's more difficult.
