I have found it difficult to find work experience in a law firm? What other activities are valuable?
I would say that I think a lot of firms are opening up to do more stuff with sixth formers. I think at my firm I've seen quite a few rounds of sixth form students coming in and I think that is especially in like the bigger law firms. I think that's become more [link removed] I think besides that you could log in to to this platform called Forage and do online virtual work experiences for a bunch of law firms on a bunch of different legal topics. It's good if you actually want to have a taste for what it's like and do some sort of legal work, then Forage has a load of that. A lot of firms also put solicitor apprentice specific modules on there, so you can actually do tasks that a solicitor apprentice would likely do and then speak about that in your interview. So I think forage has made it very accessible for a lot of people and I would actually recommend for anyone on this call to have a look at if you're genuinely interested to see real work experience.
