Do you think a legal career builds stronger credibility than a politics degree alone?

I’m a year 12 student and I would love to have a career in politics and i am very unsure as to whether I should do a degree in politics or if I should do a degree in law for more certainty than see if I can build off that

I think the best piece of advice that anyone can give you is to do something that you genuinely want to do. If you want to do politics at university, do politics at university. If once you've done your politics degree, you think actually I would like a career in law, there's absolutely no problems [link removed] think the only thing with doing a degree first, do it, if you 100% know that you want to do law and you want to be a solicitor or a barrister and you want to get there in the quickest way, then yeah, doing a law degree is the quickest way to get there because you don't have to spend a summer or a year or however long, doing the post-grad conversion. But really, I think three years is a long time at university and you should do something that you genuinely want to do.
