Hi Lucy,Good question, and something that I'm sure a lot of people still have on their [link removed], apprenticeships (both degree and non-degree) are respected, recognised and even desired in many industries, the same way as traditional university [link removed] it is industry specific (there may be a select few examples where the pure theory studied in traditional university is slightly more desirable), the hands-on experience gained during an apprenticeship whilst still studying the theory for that degree makes apprentices highly sought after. It shows that the apprentice is able to balance workloads, has the theoretical and physical knowledge to carry out their role, and other soft [link removed] in a non-degree apprenticeship, it shows that you are mature and able to work full-time and have developed technical and soft skills, whereas your university peers may have not had the chance to develop such [link removed] many industries, I'd say that apprentices are more sought after, especially in science where people who have years of experience are highly desirable, over graduates who, at most, may have done 1 placement [link removed] that helps!
Oh yh , this was really helpful. Thank you so much Hani
