Hi,It can entail all sorts! It depends what specific job you go into and what apprenticeship you may complete. If you are based in production, on the shop floor, you will likely be making parts everyday whether that is by fabricating, fitting, machining or welding. In an permanent role, you will probably work on a similar section of an aircraft daily, but there are chances to move around the business if you like, and you will be put on a rotation to see what you like when you are on an apprenticeship anyway! If you are based in an office, it could be more reactive work, where you work in partnership with the shop floor, seeing how they can improve their every day processes, working on improvement projects, or adding changes to processes. It could also be more "futuristic" work, where you work in research and development looking into technologies of the future. This could include things such as additive manufacturing, automation, robotics, hydrogen and electric flight. With these, there is a lot more testing and research into seeing if it works! Overall though, as an aerospace engineer, work is different every day! With all of these roles, you will work in a multidisciplinary team where each of you have your own tasks and projects to work on.
