How should I focus my application (CV and Cover letter) to appeal to the employers.

I really want to work in finance in a level 6 or 7 degree apprenticeship, if you are able to help me in focusing how I should form my cover letter and cv to appeal to the top firms in the UK to differentiate from other and land the interview stages I would appreciate it
