What things outside of school do you suggest to do in order to better your application to apprenticeships?

I would also try and get real work experience. This doesn't necessarily need to be in law - for example I worked as a swimming teacher and this helped me learn time management, how to manage expectations and have attention to detail. You application needs to show that you have the desirable skills but you can pick these up and evidence them through the likes of a part time job or volunteering.
