What was it like completing a degree apprenticeship in biology? Did you find it difficult to balance your workload along with university coursework?

Hi, good [link removed]'m still doing my degree apprenticeship, but I've had enough experience to answer this question [link removed] is difficult at most points of the 4 years (degree apprenticeships are often 4 years long, with the first 3 years being for your actual degree, and the 4th year for your EPA/final year project), because simply the nature of learning theory and having coursework and exams, whilst also doing a full time job and having expectations there is a lot. So I won't sugarcoat it and say it's easy or as easy as a degree [link removed], it's far more rewarding I think, plus it sets you up in a significantly better position than just having a degree - I'm sure you've researched the benefits so I won't list any here. Balancing the workload is as hard as you let it be. If it ever gets too much, you can always let your employer know and they'll be more than happy to accommodate. On the university side, you can speak to your lecturers and let them know, and they can give you extra help or extensions on deadlines. The important point is that the programme is quite independent, so it's a big transition from being in secondary school & A-Levels. But it's perfectly manageable for anyone, provided you put the work and effort in.
