What’s worked for me personally is the following points:· Make it personal. For your section with your personal statement whilst it’s great to showcase what skills and achievements you have also make sure you are highlighting who YOU are and share your personality and link your personal interests. Treat it like an elevator pitch where you summarise who you are and what would make you a good fit through your personality.· Tailor your CV to the Employer. Your CV should be applicable to most companies but I always like to keep a section in my cv that can be easily edited for each company/role that I am applying to. [link removed] if I was applying to a technical role within a finance company that said I needed collaborative skills I would add a sentence that would describe the job role within that sentence and the skills I have that make me a great fi but also describe my passion for working in a finance company. This make your CV stand out and really link to the companies you are applying toOther top tips would beTailor it to the apprenticeship/role – use keywords from the job description within the CVKeep it to concise and ideally one page as a school leaver/ early in careerUse action verbs: led, organised, created, supported, improved, [link removed] it clean and easy to read – use bold headings, bullet points, and consistent [link removed] a growth mindset – demonstrate that you’re eager to learn this is crucial for apprenticeship focused CV’sHope this helps + Good Luck!
