About Us

Set in a historic student city, Oxford Brookes is one of the UK’s leading modern universities and enjoys an international reputation for teaching excellence and innovation as well as strong links with business and industry.

Those that already know Oxford Brookes describe us as welcoming, and community-minded: innovative, whilst firmly rooted in the real world. Within this environment, our staff and students are able to develop their full potential and bring about positive and lasting change in their chosen fields.

Ranking highly for graduate employment – ahead of many Russell Group universities – more than 9 out of 10 Brookes’ graduates go on to get a job or on to further study within six months of leaving.

We do this by giving our students:

  • Innovative courses with an emphasis on practical, transferable skills
  • Teaching staff with strong backgrounds in industry, along with support from leading industry experts who help shape our courses and take part in mentoring schemes
  • Proven workplace experience – via our highly respected work placements programmes
  • International exchange programmes – with over 100 universities around the world, and
  • Award winning volunteering programmes

Oxford Brookes benefits from being right at the heart of the UK’s most successful economic region and has strong partnerships with many leading employers in the area. Our students can carry out work placements in a wide range of local settings like BMW, Microsoft, the John Radcliffe and Churchill hospitals, and Oxfam, to name just a few.

These work placements give them the opportunity to prove themselves in a graduate level job and to build contacts. Our courses are also often designed together with employers - two examples are Lotus Renault GP and the ambulance service.
Most of our courses are also accredited by the relevant professional body, giving students the qualifications they need to succeed in their chosen profession.

See our About us page for further information.

Entry & Fees

For full time undergraduate courses, our fees are £9,000 per year for UK and EU students. Fees for other courses and students vary. Please see our Finance Page for further information
