The Apprenticeship scheme is a four-year programme that combines learning on the job, formal training, and optimum support. It is open to individuals with A-levels, who have chosen not to pursue a degree.

Program Overview

Our People team work hard to support our colleagues across multiple business areas; it’s a busy fast paced environment where no two days are the same, and you will be working alongside experienced professionals with a love and passion for people. The team is made up of HR Business Partners and subject matter experts in Talent Acquisition, Talent, Learning & Development, People Operations and DE&I. Our team work closely together to support our colleagues in making CBRE a successful business and have plenty of fun along the way. 

This apprenticeship incorporates four rotations throughout the business occurring annually each September. It will result in a Level 5 Intermediate Diploma in Human Resource Management from the Chartered Institution of Personnel and Development.

The role of an HR Partner varies and throughout this programme, you will develop your skills in supporting leaders and managers in providing the most appropriate support and advice, based on business needs, whilst ensuring that the business operates within the boundaries of employment law. 

This apprenticeship will cover a core set of knowledge areas including the development of HR Technical expertise providing a solid understanding across all HR disciplines, legislation and a working knowledge of the HR policies and processes of the organisation.

You will work for four days a week and have a mandatory study day each week.

This is a unique opportunity where you will be able to gain detailed knowledge of HR practises in both theoretical and practical terms by combining both study and work.

Person Specification/Requirements

  • Willingness to learn
  • Keen to combine practice with theory
  • Proactive with a positive attitude
  • Good communication skills 
  • Organisational skills and time management 
  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs Grade C (or 4) or above including English and Mathematics. (or equivalent Maths and English qualifications). 
  • 3 A Levels preferably including Mathematics, or related discipline. Alternatively, BTEC Extended Diploma with grades MMM or BTEC Diploma with grades DD. Overall equivalent to 96 UCAS points.
  • The successful candidate must, by the commencement of employment, have the right to work in the UK.

The Application process

You will initially complete an application form along with your CV. If this meets our people requirements, then you will be asked to complete a behavioural/cognitive test. From there we will invite successful candidates to an assessment centre in March that will consist of a group activity and individual interview.
