The UK Wolf Conservation Trust is a non-profit organisation dedicated to helping wolves. The centre is based near Reading and houses European, North American and Arctic wolves across four large enclosures.
The trust offers work experience placements for college and university students interested in conservation and animal related subjects. Students will get to experience all aspects of wolf and centre management, be able to follow the UKWCT student study programme and learn from experienced wolf keepers.
The requirements for work experience are:
• Placements are from two weeks to six months.
• You'll need your own transport to get to the centre.
• Minimum age is 18 for work experience.
• The UKWCT reserves the right to terminate a placement at any time if safety rules are disregarded.
Students studying animal-related subjects are likely to be given preference for placements. Students will usually be asked to come in for an informal interview before starting.
For more information or to apply for a work experience, contact the UKWCT office.
