At Rolls-Royce, we pioneer cutting-edge technologies to explore the possibilities of cleaner, safer, more competitive power. Whether we’re leading the journey to net zero carbon emissions, developing world leading gas turbines, record breaking electrical flight systems, building state-of-the-art facilities, or providing nuclear-powered solutions, project management disciplines ensure we deliver our goals and meet our customers’ expectations. By combining learning with practical, on-the-job experience, our Project Management Degree Apprenticeship will give you the skills you need.
Everyone is unique, so every Rolls-Royce journey is different too. We'll help you to find your way and discover your potential. Your unique personality, passion, and sense of purpose makes us who we are and a place where everyone belongs. And anything is possible.
What you’ll do
Over four years, you’ll get to know our business and develop practical knowledge of project management techniques, tools and methodologies via a series of mentored placements. These rotations will take you to a variety of different areas of the business. Each placement will generally last six months to give you a real understanding of the area you’re experiencing as well as the project you’re working on. The ability to plan with integrated teams, manage risk and use data analysis to control and manage your project will become second nature – you’ll be able to plan for every eventuality. You might work on introducing new products or services, developing new facilities, or looking at the infrastructure for IT projects. You’ll develop professional experience using world-class tools and processes, while learning from supportive professionals as you work towards your qualifications.
What you’ll need
5 GCSEs which must include English Language and Maths at grade 4/C or above. Plus minimum 96 UCAS points from A-levels or BTEC in any subjects. Obtained or predicted.
We look for fast learners who are highly motivated for a career in project management. You’ll have great communication and team working skills as well as leadership potential. Attention to detail and organisational skills are also important.
What you’ll get
- A competitive starting salary with annual pay rises
- Fully sponsored BA (Hons) in a Project Management discipline plus a professional qualification recognised by the Association of Project Management (APM)
