As an Electrical and Electronics Degree Apprentice, you’ll be working on electric and hybrid-electric drive systems, gas turbine engines like UltraFan and electronic engine controls, all of which are helping us to helping us achieve our ultimate ambition – to reach net zero carbon emissions for our business and our customers.

What you’ll do

Over four years, you’ll develop invaluable technical skills from digital and analogue design, all the way through to testing and manufacturing. Working with world-class experts, you’ll learn hands on and apply the theory you’ve learnt as part of your fully sponsored degree. The future of flying is electric, and you’ll lead projects that make a difference to global communities and everyday lives. This is exciting work, especially because you’ll be based in our state-of-the-art, purpose-built facility in Solihull. From research, design and test, to build, modify and develop, everything here is done under one roof. It’s an unrivalled environment that will inspire you to do work that you can be truly proud of.

What you'll need

5 GCSEs which must include Maths at grade 5/B and English Language at grade 4/C.  Plus 3 A-levels which must include Maths, plus Physics, Engineering or a STEM subject at grade B, plus one other subject at grade C, or A-level Maths at grade B plus a Level 3 Extended BTEC in a relevant discipline (equating to a minimum 112 UCAS points). Obtained or predicted.

Alongside that, we’re looking for a real interest in electrical and electronics and the future of sustainable power. People who understand the nature of integrated power and thermal management. Agile thinkers and creative problem-solvers who are willing to learn and ready to work as part of a team.
