Starting salary: Competitive
Duration: 4 years
At Rolls-Royce, we pioneer cutting-edge technologies to explore the possibilities of cleaner, safer, more competitive power. As a Digital & IT Solutions Degree Apprentice, you’ll work in our growing digital operations and tech initiatives. You can expect to start by gaining a broad experience across both departments. That will include hands-on experience working with cutting-edge technology. Through focused mentorship, you’ll work to discover a specialist area. It will help you find out where you belong in Digital & IT Solutions. Could you be a future-driven data scientist or a business analyst? An expert data engineer or a cyber security analyst? We have opportunities to do just that, among many more.
Everyone is unique, so every Rolls-Royce journey is different too. We'll help you to find your way and discover your potential. Your unique personality, passion, and sense of purpose makes us who we are and a place where everyone belongs. And anything is possible.
Over four years, you’ll get to know our business. That will include developing practical knowledge of cutting-edge digital tech, tools, and methodologies. All via a series of mentored placements of around six months. Enough time to get an insight into the technology you’re working with. These rotations will give you the experience of a variety of digital platforms. It’s a chance to work at the forefront of the processes we use for understanding and utilising data. All as part of your tailored development plan.
What you’ll do
You’ll get to work in some of the most inspiring areas of Rolls-Royce. You’ll be supporting or leading a range of solutions throughout the business. You’re likely to explore digital operations, digital technology, cyber security, IT delivery and more. Not only will you have a mentor throughout, but you’ll also have a coach to guide you on any technical challenges. To start, you’ll combine university assignments with applied work within the business. Later, there'll be more opportunities for formal training. You’ll be an integral part of the team. In time, you can expect to be running daily meetings and agile stand-ups. You’ll build skills in communication and presentation, along with methods for how you like to work.
What you'll need
5 GCSEs which must include Maths at grade 5/B and English Language at grade 4/C, plus three other GCSE's (any subject) at grade 4/C.
