The Law Society of Scotland is the professional body for Scottish solicitors and was established in 1949.
It offers four one-week work experience placements each year in February, June, August and October. The placements are based in Edinburgh and are open to school pupils or LLB/diploma students/graduates.
During your week at the society's offices, you will visit different departments, including (if possible) access to justice, education and training, law reform and professional support.
The society gets lots of applications every year, so think carefully about why you want the placement so that you can demonstrate a keen interest when you apply.
There are two closing dates for applications - 26 June and 18 December. You can download an application form online.
