We have closed for 2022 roles, however, please click the apply now button to register your interest for 2023 and IBM will be in touch with a reminder when they are open for formal applications. If we have new 2022 roles, by registering we'll also be in touch with details on how to apply! Applications are usually open for a few days, so please ensure you are registered in order to get your application in before the window closes!
What will you do?
As a Designer, you’ll be joining a delivery team with other designers, developers and other talented and knowledgeable people solving a problem for one of our clients. You could be working on anything from online stores for giant global retail clients to apps to help people manage their money better. You'll get training on all kinds of design tools so you can conduct research, design screens and content, and ultimately see all your hard work turn into an app or website put into the hands of users so you'll get the thrill of being able to say "I designed that!".
Being a strong artist is not a pre-requisite for being a designer. Many designers in our teams do come from design and art backgrounds, but they also come from psychology, business, engineering and microbiology too! Find out more about how we think about design at IBM - https://www.ibm.com/design/approach/design-philosophy/.
Once your time as a designer on the Futures placement is over you could consider being a designer at IBM as a long-term career then you could apply for our Apprenticeship scheme.
Interested?! We hope so! We’re not open for applications just yet, but in the meantime, please register your interest below and we will email you when we have a confirmed date for opening. You will not receive an automated mail at the time you register your interest.
