About Us

Our global strategy, called The New Equation, brings our purpose to life by bringing our people together to strive for imaginative ways of solving our clients' most important challenges. We’re investing in the areas that matter most. Building out our capabilities in ESG and Net Zero, and combining the diverse experiences and skills of our people with innovative technology to build trust and deliver sustained outcomes.

Employing over 25,000 people across the UK, attracting, retaining and investing in the best people is critical. In some areas, this could mean working towards a professional qualification. In return we ask that joiners are eager to learn, with business awareness, intellectual and cultural curiosity and the ability to build strong relationships.  We encourage our people to work together to drive impact and deliver quality to our clients.

Graduates and undergraduates can expect to be part of a stimulating environment working on challenging projects in a culture that embraces difference and empowers them to think differently. Uniqueness and innovation is valued at PwC which is why we have The Deal for all employees that ensures the experience of working here is right for everyone. Your hard work and accomplishments will be recognised and rewarded with a competitive salary and tailored, flexible benefits.

Join our human-led, tech-powered team. Be a part of The New Equation.

Work Experience

Career Launch Work Experience

Our Career Launch Work Experience programme is for Year 12 (Year 13 in Northern Ireland) and takes place in our Belfast and Manchester offices. On this programme you’ll have the opportunity to network with current and past students on our programmes, participate in interactive skills sessions, experience what it’s like to work in one of our business areas, and collaborate on group projects.

Impress us enough during the week, and any subsequent application you make for one of our School and College Leaver or Flying Start degree programmes, could be fast tracked.

We’ll pay you a salary, cover the cost of your travel and provide you with lunch and a PwC laptop for the week.

Please sign up to the Talent Community to be the first to hear when applications open for 2024.

Virtual Insight Programme

Our Virtual Insight Programme provides opportunities to gain lots of valuable skills and explore your career interests and options with PwC. You may be interested in doing an apprenticeship, going to university, or a combination of both. Perhaps you’re still not sure, and you simply want to find out more about PwC and the different areas that you could join. Our Virtual Insight Programme will help you answer these questions by giving you a glimpse into our different business areas, and you’ll also hear from our people who joined through a range of student pathways and programmes.

Through our interactive sessions, you’ll get to experience our different business areas such as Audit, Consulting, Tax, Technology and Operate to find out what it means to be an expert in that area. You can also take part in a variety of skills sessions which will build your personal and professional skills, preparing you for future applications and for the workplace.

Apprenticeships

University. Degree. Career. But things have changed, and there are now many professional opportunities available to you straight out of school. You don’t need a degree to launch a successful career in the business world. Many of our senior leaders joined us without a university degree and have accelerated their career at PwC and beyond. Things are changing and we’re giving you more opportunities than ever before to progress your career in accounting, technology and business – whether you want to jump straight into the working world, go to university, or both.

All of our full-time School and College Leaver programmes are designed to help you develop your business skills through real client work, while also completing formal training and studying towards qualifications to give you a head start in your career. PwC will provide you with support all the way. You’ll earn a competitive salary, benefit from our excellent support networks and have the opportunity to continually progress your career. Just like our graduate joiners, you’ll work on varied and challenging client and internal projects, which make a real difference to the world of business.

We run Apprenticeship Programmes in:

  • Consulting
  • Operate
  • Tax

We also run our Flying Start degree programmes which offer you the opportunity to start a career and gain a degree at the same time.

Join us in AccountingBusiness Management or Technology, where you can earn a salary and fast-track your career while studying for your chosen subject. Whichever programme you choose, you’ll work on a range of projects in a culture that embraces difference and encourages you to think imaginatively. At PwC we want you to feel challenged, to grow and to flourish. You’ll have the opportunity to make an impact, being the difference to our clients from day one.
