What you'll do
The Rolls-Royce Commercial Degree Apprenticeship is a fantastic opportunity for you to develop your commercial skills on real projects in our Civil Aerospace business. You'll be involved in diverse business issues as you support the existing commercial teams in identifying risks, and developing commercial proposals and business solutions. You can expect to put in place and manage new business contracts as well as analysing business cases. Across all of this, you'll gain a detailed insight into how a large, complex company makes a profit and works with its customers, suppliers and partners. Not only that, but you'll be able to make an impact early on in your career whilst earning a competitive salary.
Over the course of four years, you'll complete a series of placements with our commercial teams in Civil Aerospace based in Derby. You'll also study for a BA (Hons) in Business and Management on a day-release basis, paid for by us. We'll support you every step of the way during this time, with structured placements and learning and development objectives plus mentoring and sponsorship from experienced professionals.
At the end of the Rolls-Royce Commercial Degree Apprenticeship programme, you'll be ready to apply to become a Commercial Officer within Rolls-Royce.

What you'll need
To apply for the Rolls-Royce Commercial Degree Apprenticeship, you'll need three A-Levels (or equivalent) at grade A*-C, plus GCSE A*-C (grades 9-4) in English Language and Maths. You'll have a passion for all things business, including an interest in contract management, and a good financial acumen. Problem-solving skills are a must, and you'll be a natural when it comes to communicating with others and working as part of a team.
